How do you decide which creators get further investment as a one-person team?
"It’s the people who engage with the program, give feedback, post consistently, and cross-promote. Their community already loves us — I can see it in their comments. Sometimes the right product hasn’t shown up yet for that creator. Once it does, they take off. So my job is staying close enough to know when that moment is."
What is the most common misunderstanding between brands and affiliates?
"Assuming the affiliate wants you just because you want them. Affiliates get hit up by fifty thousand brands. They’ve already heard your pitch. They need a reason to care — what’s different about your program, what they can earn, where they can grow with you. If you can’t answer that, they’ll work with someone who can."
How do you keep your top creators loyal when every competitor is chasing them?
"Fame, love, and exclusivity. Amplify their best content publicly so they get recognition. Make them feel loved with real access — they can DM me, email me directly. Give them something nobody else can get: a higher commission, a new product first, a collab with their name on it. Three things, and you build loyalty."

How JLab is scaling creator-led growth with Superfiliate:

SuperBrief turns seasonal moments into coordinated campaigns by aligning content direction, gifting, and deliverables in a single workflow across 300+ managed creators.

Creator briefs organized by program tier mean each SuperBrief reaches the right creators automatically, without needing to be pushed manually by Audrey.

A program-wide automation sequence designed in partnership with Audrey’s CSM gave JLab a growth system built around how the team actually operates.

JLab is a headphones company competing with huge market players including JBL, Bose, and Skullcandy–all of which are chasing the same pool of creators to partner with.

Audrey Van Vark runs JLab’s affiliate program as a solo influencer marketing operator, and needed to coordinate hundreds of creators across seasonal campaigns without losing valuable time to seeding logistics or repetitive creator briefing.

By moving to Superfiliate, Audrey can track which creators are driving revenue and scale the campaigns that work — without scaling her hours:

“It really helped us build out a structure for new affiliates to say, “Here are the expectations”…It really brings clarity into a very busy period, especially when you’re working with a lot of different creator cohorts.”

Audrey Van Vark, Affiliate Marketer at JLab.

Turning seasonal moments into coordinated campaigns

JLab’s product mix for creator content is driven by seasonality. Speakers are popular in summer when people spend more time outdoors, while sales of workout headphones spike in the New Year when people are heading back to the gym post-holiday.

This means a steady stream of fresh opportunities for creators to talk about JLab — but only if Audrey can get the right product and context in front of them at the right time, something impossible to coordinate manually across hundreds of creators.

SuperBrief enables Audrey to activate the creators on-time for relevant seasonal moments. Each brief aligns content direction, sample tracking, and deliverables in a single campaign workflow so that creators show up with on-brand content, the same product framing, and the same understanding of what success looks like.

Because SuperBrief carries the operational load, Audrey doesn’t have to brief each creator individually or chase product samples one by one. In a single quarter, she’s used SuperBrief to launch new campaigns and reach new creator cohorts, a level of expansion she couldn’t have achieved manually:

“Coordination feels so much better once we utilized SuperBrief within the platform. We’ve been able to reach out to three to four new creator cohorts. We’ve launched three new campaigns even just within the last quarter.”

Audrey Van Vark, Affiliate Marketer at JLab.

Briefs that meet creators at their program tier

Audrey’s briefs reach the right creators automatically, thanks to an automated program tiering system inside Superfiliate. Triggers watch for specific signals (gifts delivered, first post, first sale, no prolonged lack of action) and route creators between program tiers accordingly.

Launchpad creators (the first program tier) receive onboarding flows and welcome briefs for their producing their first content with JLab. The Momentum and Blue Crew creators (the higher stakes) are pulled into bigger seasonal moments with higher commission opportunities—product launches, holiday pushes, and bonus campaigns.

Creators can self-select their involvement based on what campaigns are available at their tier, meaning Audrey doesn’t have to manually segment creators for every campaign. Creators progress to higher tiers when they post and convert, which keeps the active roster current.

This doesn’t just identify top performers; it surfaces them automatically, so the high-leverage relationships get the attention they deserve.

“My time is no longer just samples and getting creative briefs done. Superfiliate helps you automate those things that you need to automate to be able to focus on building community in a way that feels really personalized and meaningful.”

Audrey Van Vark, Affiliate Marketer at JLab.

A program that scales with the team that runs it

With brief-led creator content running on automated, tiered program infrastructure, Audrey can launch new campaigns, reach new creator cohorts, and grow revenue without needing to scale headcount or reach for a fragmented toolkit.

By the numbers:

  • 30% QoQ revenue increase
  • 300 managed affiliates running through SuperBrief
  • 180+ weekly pieces of creator content
  • 3 brand-new campaigns launched in the last quarter
  • 3-4 new creator cohorts activated in a single quarter

Audrey’s creator-led growth system powered by Superfiliate carries the operational load, so she can focus on the relationships that actually move the program forward.
